I believe everyone has a role in creating a better world. As each student has unique capabilities and talents that they can contribute to society, it is my privilege to inspire them with ideas, guidance, and a stimulating environment where students will develop confidence and, at the same time, be humble and respectable to others, enjoy the learning experience, and show their commitment, responsibilities and care towards other human beings. As such, I always encourage my students to speak their minds, to be themselves, to be brave enough to try new things, and not be afraid of making mistakes and learning from them, as I am also in the process of learning in this big classroom of life. ” — Dr Khairol Anuar Ishak, Senior Lecturer

This course aims to provide understanding to students about research as applied in a business context. Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required in a basic research process. Students will also be introduced to the core concepts, methods and research issues which lay the foundations for conducting a research. Data analysis, interpretation and presenting analysis output will also be discussed.

 1. Please comment on the achievement of the Course Learning Outcomes (CLO).

This course has been mapped with three CLOs. This course achieves the target for all CLOs where 70% of students achieve more than 50% of the marks "proficient" and above for each CLO. The CQI analysis by CLO shows that 74% of students achieved the target for CLO1, 100% of students achieved the target for CLO2, and 100% achieved the target for CLO3.  Based on this analysis, CLO1 needs to be given more attention in the next semester since this CLO is not achieving the target of 100%.

2. Please suggest actions to improve the achievement of the Course Learning Outcomes (CLO).

Suggestion to improve on CLO1 - Need to do some activities related to conceptual in research methodology by using categorizing, naming, and sorting activities: To  understand individual concepts, students need to grapple with examples, non-examples, and attributes of a concept. More quizzes shall be conducted to strengthen their understanding on difficult topics especially data analysis.
